Payouts

Send bank transfers to third parties worldwide.

Make payments to customers, vendors, or any third party around the world in seconds, and eliminate the manual work with APIs. Pay many invoices at once with bulk transfers instead of handling each payment manually.

A payout sends money from your Mamo account to a bank account. Most integrations first save the destination as a recipient (name, bank details, and your relationship to them), then pay that recipient by its ID, so you validate bank details once and reuse them.

How it fits together

  1. Check the bank details with Validate IBAN (optional, but it catches typos before you save them).
  2. Save the destination with Create recipient.
  3. Pay them:
    • with Issue payouts, which takes one or many payouts (at least AED 10 each) in a single call, to a saved recipient_id or to raw bank details;
    • with Create international payout for a recipient abroad, where the recipient's bank details decide the currency and corridor.
  4. Track the result with the payout.processed / payout.failed webhooks, or Fetch payout info.

Splitting customer payments with recipients

If you run a marketplace, you can route part of each customer payment to a recipient with payouts_share. The recipient's share is credited to their balance on the payment's settlement date. See Platform-led marketplace.

Build it

The Payouts section of the API Reference has every payout, recipient and IBAN validation endpoint.

Try it

Follow the Run a marketplace recipe in the sandbox. Sandbox settlement is slower than live by default, so a fresh sandbox balance may not be available to pay out straight away; see Sandbox testing.
