Create international payout

Sends a payout from your AED balance to a recipient's bank account outside the UAE. Create the recipient first with Create recipient. The recipient's bank country sets the corridor and the currency they receive.

Send exactly one of these:

source_amount: the AED amount to take from your balance, including the fee and VAT. It has a minimum, 100 AED by default.
destination_amount: the amount the recipient should get, in their currency.

Mamo fetches an exchange-rate quote when you call, and the response shows the rate, fee, VAT and total deducted. The fee is a percentage of the amount with a minimum, per your plan; see mamopay.com/pricing. reason is required. relationship is required for payouts to India.

Common errors

403 FEATURE_NOT_ENABLED: international payouts are not enabled for your account.
422 RECORD_NOT_FOUND: the recipient doesn't exist.
422 VALIDATION_ERROR: the recipient has a UAE bank account (use Issue payouts), relationship is missing for India, or, for India, the AED amount (including fee and VAT) is above AED 50,000.
422 NOT_FOUND: the recipient's country is not a supported corridor.
422 INSUFFICIENT_BALANCE: your available balance can't cover the payout.
422 QUOTE_FAILED: a quote could not be fetched. Try again.
409 IDEMPOTENCY_KEY_NOT_UNIQUE: this key was already used for a payout that succeeded or is still in flight. Reconcile with List payouts; don't retry with a new key. See Idempotency.

A payout moves money. Send an Idempotency-Key header and reuse it if you retry, so a retry can't pay twice. See Idempotency.

The amount to deduct from the merchant's balance, as a string, always in AED. The minimum is dynamic (default 100 AED, and may differ for your account). Payouts to India are capped at AED 50,000 per payout, measured as the AED amount taken from your balance. Provide either source_amount or destination_amount, not both.

destination_amount

The amount the recipient should receive, as a string, in the recipient's destination currency. Provide either source_amount or destination_amount, not both.

Too many requests. You sent more than 100 requests in 30 seconds from one IP address. This response has no JSON body. See Rate limits.

Unexpected error

201Payout created

403Forbidden — the API key is unauthorised, or international payouts are not enabled for the account.

409Conflict. This Idempotency-Key was already used for a payout that succeeded or is still in flight. Reconcile instead of retrying with a new key.

422Unprocessable entity. Request-validation failures return VALIDATION_ERROR with a messages value of ["See errors"] and a per-field errors array. Business-rule failures return a specific error_code with a human-readable messages array.
